i love khachaturian's toccata! its such a fun piece to play. whats so cool about it is that it sounds very difficult but its actually very easy. this piece depends a lot on how well the pianist controls the instrument, and i think sound quality (the quality of the piano) is very important as well. if its played on those cheap 2000 dollar pianos it will sound like crap.

here it is! hear it for yourself and you will know what i mean =)

its the best that i found on youtube. (in my opinion) her control is superb!
most people play it too fast. for some other videos the 'feel' of the piece just didnt seem right. haha oh well its open to interpretation and this video is roughly how i would play it myself.

i love the feeling of breathlessness when i play such an exhilarating piece =)

kim came over ytd and we played rachmaninov's piano concerto no 2. or more like attempted to play. lol we sounded quite bad but it was fun! and watched tom hanks is forrest gump. i liked it. kim had to work on good friday so poor thing.

im in the transition phase where i want to but dont want to go to uni.
i enjoy spending hours on the piano, going out with my friends, going to ppls houses, doing weird random art stuff, going to st andrews, going shopping, going for concerts and performances (ive been to at least 2 in the past 3 months), going for art/fashion/design shows and exhibitions (ive gone to sam and 8Q twice), which i wont get to do as often once uni starts, but at the same time, i feel like all my brain cells are dying.
i feel as if ill be stupider than i ever was when i enter uni. really.
