I think I have some compulsive disorder. I compulsively check my mail every few hours. I compulsively check my mailbox every day. (so does the rest of the class of 2013 students in the US) and I think I am going to die from stress for the month of April. not knowing whether ill be studying locally or in the US/UK.
this is one of those times when i wish i were rich. (dont we all? =))
then i can just fly to the US.
20-40% in cmu are self funded lehh. thats 320000 a year. (look at the no of zeros!)
sighh.
i think what yini said to me made quite a lot of sense - money, you can always earn it back. opportunities like that only come once in a lifetime. (in chinese)
but it really issnt fair if the rest of my family has to compromise on their lifestyle just so that I can do the undergrad degree that i want.
on a lighter note,
i am running for staff race on fri. hahaha. it was through sabo-ing no teachers EVER wanna run staff race! the pe teacher in charge was running around practically BEGGING ppl to run! so poor thing.
the male teachers were like, "the boys want to see the female teachers run. go ask the female teachers dont ask us."
the middle aged and old teachers were like, "we are too old already cannot run. go ask the young ones to run."
the senior teachers (my supervisor actually) were like, "i dont want to run. i just want to sit there and look pretty."
so. the young, female, and extremely junior teachers have to run.
which = me.
well i guess it would be fun. i hope it would be fun.
