canoeing camps over. this time was well, pretty slack. didnt really feel like a training camp at at all. first day had training in the morn, then played canoe polo!! haven played it for such a long time! was really fun. had to do circuits also. watched men of honour at night. first day was super tiring.

second day we went to ford factory museum. then hiked from there to bukit timah nature reserve, climbed to the top and back down and hiked all the way back to macritchie for training. wait did i mention, each of us were carrying at least 5kg bags (we weighed them). and the stupid ones (like me) didnt bring backpacks and so we carried sling backs. ahh. had relay races of 250m each on the water! i rowed t2 with sh n sl. waa haven rowed t2 for so long!

third day was in my opinion a waste of time. rained in the morn so we had study session. was supposed to train in the afternn but no teachers were free so we couldn train. played some get-to-know-each-other games instead. was super funny! ha. we seldom have so much fun and laughter in njcanoeing.

as quoted from cherry:
love the sport, love the people, hate the cca.

changing violin strings is a very mentally draining event! you need absolute mental focus and courage to turn the pegs. every moment where you are tightening the strings, your heart beats faster and faster. theres this little edging fear in the corner of your mind that the string might snap. every time you turn the peg, it gives a loud menacing squeek, (that sounds wrong. how can a squeek be loud) which makes your heart skip a beat. as the string gets tighter and tighter, the level of stress increases. and when the string is perfectly in tune, you can heave a sigh of relief, and exclaim, "i just managed to change my violin string!" haha. whew. nvr had the guts to do it. always asked my teacher to do it for me. :DD
