mugged at kap today. 10 to 6. whoa. and i only finished like ONE subject. sucks.

kap's a really cool place. a diversity of people. great for ppl watching. 10 plus.. ppl who end sch early starts streaming in. (hcjc was having an early day). 12 plus. the working ppl come in for their lunch breaks. poly students start coming too. 1 plus. screamy girls from a prestigious girls sch enters. 4 plus. the nj ppl start coming in. and some top guy schools posers enter too. they were wearing caps. in a perfectly sunless room. for goodness sake.

the 2 girls and a guy sitting beside my table were a fantastic source of amusement. these 2 girls.. were well. apparently 16. and they behaved like sec ones. or worse than that. i wasnt like that even in sec one ok. they were very very blatantly flirting with this guy, who was from army. (nat overheard their convo on how they were waiting for this guy that one of the girls liked) and this is how they flirt: by putting cups on his head. well well. and they were from a prestigious girls sch. it was very amusing. and the stuff that they say.. gosh. made us feel soo old. like we were 20. couldnt help glancing at them once in a while and grinning to myself.

two girls sitting at table X.
two girls sitting at table Y.
the same age.
but you wont be able to tell.

i think being in nj changes me. was looking at all the sec sch ppl in kap and some of them seemed so young, childish and immature. mostly the sec ones i think. in half a years time in gonna be in j1. how fast.

in one of the recent gc lectures, found out that only 20% of students make it to university or something. shocking. i never knew it was this little! maybe its because almost everyone that i know makes it to jc. and everyone that i know is aiming for uni. which somehow means that im only mixing with as what mr y terms "singapores elite". i hardly know anyone from neighbourhood schools. though ill love to get to know more ppl. what a narrow scope of friends.

went to some sort of social gathering recently. had ppl from all walks of life. whoa it was quite funny. by saying that i was in jc, ppl were quite impressed. and saying it was nj, they were pretty impressed. and i had to explain what IP was like ten times. cause nobody knew what it was. and they were very much impressed. and then they start asking about other personal stuff. and they were really impressed. it was just weird. i never got this kind of reaction before. it was like meeting people from a whole new arena of society. i think the sort of "social class" in our society will always be there, no matter how much people try to deny its existence.

whoa. im only 16. and theres already such a segregation. i wonder what will happen 20 years down the road.
