im back! the three days at danga bay johor were totally AWESOME. at this present moment as im typing, the senior girls and guys are still there, finishing up the final races. i hope they do well.:DD
just a recount for my own keepsake:
day 1.
arrived in johor! went to this restaurant and had lunch. then could only check in at 3pm so we went to our race venue first. wasnt as impressive as what i expected.. my race wasnt on the first day so we did a bit of land training and studying while the others raced. did pretty well.. guys went straight semis and girls got into quarter finals. even though they were racing against guys! cool. then went to another restaurant for our dinner. in t-shirt and shorts without bathing! omg first time i enter restaurant like that! haha. had this shark-fin-look-a-like dish and lots of good food. took alot of photos! haha. then went to our hotel for check-in. nice nice nice place! five star i think. good life mann. shared room with jo! haha.. was really fun! we took alot of spastic and bimbotic photos in our room.
day 2.
couldn wake up! didnt even pick up our wake up call.. both of us were sleeping like logs. haha. the poor hotel guy had to come up all the way to knock on our door! haha. then went for breakfast. loads of food! really really full after that. went to race venue again. i had no races in the morn so just studied. then something happened. dont wanna talk about it. went for lunch at another restaurant. oh gosh i was sitted beside cherry and mr y!! whoa tension. i didn know what to do la. ha. and then we went for 1 hour speed shopping! haha.
then went back for races. super weird shop before racing. ha. our first race was the b div ip2 and 3 girls boat. wasnt very good. our counting was screwed and the whole race most of us didnt know what we were doing! mr y was our drummer. and somehow we managed to come in second!! beating TWO guys boats. WHOOTS. mr y said "well done girls!" wow. thats something. from mr y. and then. we were disqualified. cause we didnt enter the finishing buoy. like wth. but the junior girls boat beat a guys boat and they made it to the quarter finals. and mr y let us take their place. we ended up 3rd in quarter finals, beating another guys boat. cool. went back to hotel to wash up and then we went out for seafood dinner at another restaurant AGAIN. then we went shopping!! haha. and guess what. all we bought was FOOD. to pig out at night. haha. went to sabus room at night and we took alot of photos again! haha.. very fun!
day 3.
breakfast! then took the coach back to sing.
to sum it all up, these 2/3 days were totally fantastic. a chance to compete in an international event, good food every meal, good hotel, even time for shopping, like WHOA. cliche and everything, but its one of the most memorable times in njcanoeing. though we are not there for holiday but hey, it was a good break from everything.
and now. im back to reality. theres the photo shoot tmr. and homework. and assignments. and national schools.
NATIONAL SCHOOLS.
i want to go back to dreamland.
